i am currently trying , and i emphasize trying, to knit a sweater for Rocket birthday. I got this beautiful book at my LYS that i was assured id the best knitting book for childrens items ever. easy, classic and fun.
the book is Simple knits for little Cherubs by Erika Knight
the phots are enchanting and the patterns seam plain enough. Tis is my first attempt at a sweater taht is more advanced than garter stitch blocks sewn together.
the pattern is the classic v-neck sweater.
the yarn is Essential Twees in flint form knitpicks
dk weight
SO i start the back of the sweater and it comes out fine except i have 4 extra stitches on the needle. i check and re-check. i did not screw up that i knwo of.
Then i begin the front on superbowl sunday. it takes me for ever to find time to knit right now. I’m dooinn fine untill i start the v and i work the entire right side of the v and then get stuck. I guess i was suposed to do both sides at at time with two balls of yarn. no where does it state that.
SO i have one side knit and the other weighting to go and i am so lost. so i google erratta for this pattern and come up with NOTHING!!!!!!
i find other people looking for corrections but no corrections! WTF?
i am going to have to wait untill saturday when i can go with out my kids and go to the LYS and pick some brains. Now i am verry behind on this and the littel mand day is approaching. what to do
part of me wants to do as usual and roll t up and put it in the “where knitting goes to die” box.
oh photos
oh i am mad
