String into Things

i finished the first of many Baby Genus Burp Rags from the Massion Dixon Kinitting. I can not find the band to see what the actual color way is called. here is a photo or two

i have not purchased yarn in an eon. at least 4 months. i know i should be ashamed. i have just not had the time. DH and i have been working a combined total 6 jobs  the last few months. we are nuts. but now it is time to knit and i am ready. i have already started a sweater for me(see last post). i borrowed the book Masson*Dixon Knitting from my local library and am in love with it. I juat cast on the Baby Genius Burp CLoth. 

SO the kids and i haulled our cookies to the local michaels. and there i found  one pound one pound balls of the lively colored sugar and cream cotton and got so excited. so i got two of those and three of the small balls. Then i went around the corner to drool over bamboo needles and found thei great crochet thread in the cutest color and on clearance. I have no idea wht to do with it as my crochet is still rudamentarty at best. but i could hold it together and it woudl be almost worsted to knit with. i was thinking a bag for my library books. i love my library. it is moments from my house and tons of knitting books!
